Commercial Translation Rates
Commercial translations also represent a significant part of our business. For over 40 years, we have been assisting UK companies in their international communications.
We provide numerous commercial and business translations for a wide variety of industries. Legal professionals entrust us with their legal translations or financial translations, while marketing agencies rely on us for their marketing translations in more than 80 languages and dialects.
The prices of our commercial translations depend on several factors:
- The language pair (source and target languages)
- The subject matter of your document
- Complexity of the terminology to be translated
- Number of words in the document
- Format of the file to be translated
- The desired delivery time
- Additional services related to translation (transcription, formatting, multilingual DTP, SEO optimisation in the target language, etc.)
This is why each request is personalised. To find out the exact cost for your project, you can send us the documents to be translated (or an estimate of the word count) by email at [email protected] or by completing our personalised quote form. We can then get back to you with a corresponding quote.
FAQ on Our Translation Rates
How are translation prices determined?
Several factors determine the rates of a project, including the language pair, the field covered in the document, the number of words in the text to be translated, and the desired delivery time. Additional services such as multilingual DTP, proofreading, formatting, transcription, or optimising a document for foreign search engines will incur additional charges. Ultimately, only an experienced project manager can review the documents to be translated and the information about your project to provide you with a quote tailored to all your needs.
What factors can affect translation rates?
Very tight delivery times or complex documents to be translated that are photographed or scanned (in non-editable formats) may incur additional fees. Of course, only a thorough examination of the documents will allow us to set a fair rate appropriate for the services to be provided.
What are the fees for rush translation services?
An urgency fee may apply for requests that require shorter delivery times. It is rather difficult to give an exact amount, which is why our express translation offer is priced as a percentage over the standard project amount. For example, to receive a document translated in less than 24 hours, we charge an additional 30% of the initial cost.
Do prices vary according to the type of content to be translated?
Yes. For example, financial tables are more complex to translate than simple text (such as a contract) and will require more time. Prices will therefore be adjusted according to the file format and the complexity of the text. For instance, a scientific document with complex data will take more time than translating a press release that uses simple vocabulary and structured sentences.
How can I get a personalised quote for your translation services?
We recommend that you send us the documents you wish to translate in order to receive a personalised quote as soon as possible. We advise you to provide as much information as possible about your project, including the languages, context, and deadlines. You can also send us reference documents so that our translators can use the correct terminology you use on a daily basis.
